Super Jugoso Account Spotlight | Highwire

Q&A Featuring: Jeremy Stone, Trainer / R&D

Super Jugoso: Describe your company in less than two sentences. Feel free to have fun with it!

Jeremy Stone: Five of the best spots to consume coffee and coffee related beverages in the East Bay.

SJ: What is your current favorite thing to drink at your cafe(s) and why?

JS: Coffee of the Week, always! It's coffee and water, and... a filter. First, it's delicious. I love coffee. And second, Steve Ford, our Director of Coffee, and our roasting team spend a lot of time seeking, roasting, and blending really special coffees -- and Steve shares information about where, how, and by whom the coffees were produced. I think this helps baristas connect a little more to the coffee we're sharing with our customers. Helps bridge that gap between producer and barista.

SJ: What is your current favorite drink on the menu that incorporates a Super Jugoso product?

JS: I really love the Cruel Palmer right now. The Super Jugoso Allspice syrup adds a sweet snap to our Cruel Summer 4 Track Tea, and plays nicely with the lemonade. It's an elevated Arnold Palmer, a little more sophisticated and the perfect accompaniment to the Bay's warm fall days.

SJ: What is something you wish more people knew about Highwire?

JS: That we are constantly evolving and growing as a company. That we truly care about what we do, we want people to enjoy our coffee and our spaces, sip some coffee, and share a moment with us before carrying on with their day. Also, we all love music. Some of us collect records, and that will be a part of the New Highwire... (foreshadowing)

SJ: Do you have a favorite Super Jugoso product?

JS: Super Jugoso makes really great syrups. I've gotten to play with so many, it's always hard for me to pick a favorite. I love the Allspice right now, so I'll call that my favorite, but I guarantee as I'm testing Winter Beverages with the teams, and people who are making suggestions, that it will change in the coming weeks. I just really appreciate the thoughtfulness Super Jugoso puts into creating syrups.

SJ: When can people come visit you?

JS: Every Day, varying hours for each shop. www.highwirecoffee.com
